Tatung Wins “Best System Integration Solution” at LinuxWorld for Blade Server Integrated with ManageSite™ from Amphus August 7, 2003 San Francisco, CA – August 7, 2003 – Tatung Science & Technology, Inc. (TSTI®), announced that it won the “Best System Integration Solution” Open Source Product Excellence Award at LinuxWorld. The award was given for its newly announced TUD 3114 Blade Server, integrated with ManageSite server management software from Amphus. The integrated solution is being demonstrated this week at Booth #162 of the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo at Moscone Center in San Francisco. Data centers achieve substantial total cost of ownership (TCO) savings with the new system’s high performance, high density, built-in manageability and significant savings in power consumption. The TUD-3114 features integrated switch blades and management blades, supporting up to 196 power-saving low voltage Intel® Xeon™ processor-based servers per rack, or up to 14 independent server blades in a single 3U form factor chassis. With multiple server blades, redundant switch blades, management blades, power supplies and fan modules, the system offers built-in high availability, allowing no single point of failure. The TUD-3114 blade server supports Window 2000, Window Server 2003 and Linux operating systems.
