MessageSoft and Tatung have partnered to create a secure email blade server appliance that processes up to half a million emails per hour with virus scanning, spam, and content filtering

San Francisco, Calif., April 14th., 2003 – MessageSoft and Tatung will have a demonstration of the industry-first Blade Server Appliance for Secure Email application at the RSA conference (www.rsaconference.com) this week in San Francisco. Developed in partnership between MessageSoft and Tatung, the Secure Email Appliance can process virus scanning and spam and content filtering of over half a million of emails per hour. The functions of virus scanning, spam and content filtering as well as policy management are deployed on a dedicated server blade and synchronized by MessageSoft’s Secure Message Gateway™ (SMG). Based on the workload of the blade server appliance, additional capacity for each function can easily be added individually by installing new server blades provisioned using Amphus’ ManageSite™ software.

MessageSoft is exhibiting its Secure Message Gateway (SMG) and Storm Mail Accelerator products running on the Tatung TUD-2016 Ultra Dense Blade Server. The Secure Message Gateway is designed to provide the highest performance and the most comprehensive security for email systems. It is perfectly matched with the TUD-2016, since both are designed to provide the highest levels of performance and highly integrated management. MessageSoft software products are 100% Java code designed to be distributed over multiple processors for highest throughput.
